i had a great time exploring Chicago with Toni + Marcus today.
after visiting the Loop we spent some time in Millenium Park.
although things got chilly later in the day, Toni + Marcus were great sports about it.
the Crown Fountain (designed by Jaume Plensa) features 1,000 faces captured by students at the School of the Art Institute.
thanks Toni + Marcus for being so much fun to hang out with–i can’t wait for July!

getting to know Jess + Eric

i spent the evening getting to know Jess + Eric, who are getting married in September at Carlyle on the Green in Bethpage, NY.
we met up in midtown Manhattan, a couple of blocks away from Eric’s office and took advantage of some of the scenery for some fun shots.
eventually we made our way to Central Park, where Jess + Eric visited Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s The Gates on their first date and where Eric surprised Jess by proposing to her in the same spot this April.
Jess + Eric – thanks for sharing so much of your time and yourselves with me–I had a great evening and am totally looking forward to September!

getting to know Tracey + David

i made the trip to St. Charles this morning to hang out with Tracey + David and Tracey’s family.
walking around town we found some really fun locations, including The Filling Station Pub & Grill, which was perfect for us because of David’s love of cars and motorcycles.
Tracey + David are getting married in September and are having their wedding reception at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago.

getting to know Kristin, Scott & Gigit

i spent my evening with Kristin, Scott & Gigit, who are getting married in December at The Stone Barn in Monroe, CT.

all work and no Playland makes Chrissy a dull girl

Playland Park in Rye, NY is about 15 minutes away from me and one of my favorite places to spend the day.
even though the park isn’t open until later in the year, i decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and take my friend Chrissy (who in addition to being beautiful is also a great photographer) out to Playland for a fun portrait session.

getting to know Suzanne + Marc

i had a great time this afternoon with Suzanne + Marc creating portraits inspired by the most recent James Bond movie “Casino Royale“.
Suzanne loved having an excuse to go shopping for the black cocktail dress that she wore for our shoot and to show off her pink shoes that are an essential part of how she and Marc met.

coincidentally, the movie was released last year on the same date as Suzanne + Marc’s wedding will be this year.
after the sun went down we hung out in Times Square for a while.

Katrina + Taylor’s Engagement

I spent this afternoon with Katrina and Taylor, who were in New York for the long weekend staying with friends in Tribeca and finishing up the arrangements for their wedding on April 22nd.
We met at the Waldorf-Astoria, where they’ll have their reception, and walked next door to St. Bartholomew’s, where they’ll be getting married, and took a few portraits outside.
Although it was pretty windy at times and more than a little chilly, Katrina + Taylor just snuggled up as we made our way up to Central Park.
