AGWPJA Competition Winner!

One of my wedding images took fourth place out of more than 600 entries in the first competition for the Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association.

This was taken at Sharagim + Sean’s wedding at Whitby Castle in Rye, NY–which is one of my favorite venues.

Here’s what the castle (one of only a few in Westchester County where you can have a wedding) looks like from the outside.

Soley + Dan’s Wedding

Soley + Dan got married today at the Maritime Chapel at Fort Schuyler, which is on the campus of the SUNY Maritime College, which Dan had attended.

Father Mike delivered a beautiful sermon featuring crayons.

Although the forecast had some of us concerned (it originally called for a northeaster to hit in the afternoon) , the weather held up and was totally great.

But it was still a little chilly for Meredith and Tracey.

After the ceremony we headed over to The New Leaf Café in Fort Tryon Park.

Soley + Dan’s cake was a totally decadent rich chocalate and caramel cake.

Thanks to Ralph for letting them use his sword for the cake cutting.

There were some great toasts, particularly by Tony and Dan’s friend Kurt.

The snow did start coming down around 5 and the crew at the New Leaf had some fun with it.

Congratulations to Soley + Dan and thank you so much for letting me be a part of your wedding.

I had a great time with you guys and am looking forward to seeing pictures from your honeymoon in Panama.
