En Jung + Kyung’s wedding

today i was very lucky to enjoy the beautiful day with En Jung + Kyung as they hosted family and friends from across the globe at their wedding at Locust Grove in Poughkeepsie, NY–which is the historic estate of Samuel Morse, the inventor of the telegraph.

to keep cool during the ceremony, En Jung + Kyung provided fans for their guests (which is always a great idea for outdoor weddings).

following their western ceremony En Jung and Kyung changed into traditional Korean wedding costumes and paid respects to their families during their Pyebaek ceremony.

after being served wine their parents tossed chestnuts (a symbol of their hope for grandchildren), which En Jung and Kyung tried to catch in her skirt.

En Jung + Kyung – congratulations and thank you so much for sharing your beautiful day with me! it’s both a joy and an honor for me to be with you today.

what a beautiful day to get married!
today i was in Skaneateles (you can pronounce it as skinny-atlas) in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York for Kris + Claude’s wedding.

i started with Kris and her bridesmaids at the Sherwood Inn in downtown Skaneateles.

while i was with the girls, my good friend Thomas Geist spent some time with Claude and the boys at the Hobbit Hollow Bed & Breakfast.

then Kris + Claude exchanged their vows at the fantastic First Presbyterian Church of Skaenateles
.

after the ceremony we headed over to the picturesque Benjamin Porter House to chill out and get a few portraits.

then we headed back to the Sherwood Inn for the reception.

Kris had Dina Sakal of Savoir Fare Bakery create a pair of incredible cakes for them.

Kris + Claude – thank you so much for having me with you on your incredible day!

i spent the evening getting to know Jess + Eric, who are getting married in September at Carlyle on the Green in Bethpage, NY.
we met up in midtown Manhattan, a couple of blocks away from Eric’s office and took advantage of some of the scenery for some fun shots.

eventually we made our way to Central Park, where Jess + Eric visited Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s The Gates on their first date and where Eric surprised Jess by proposing to her in the same spot this April.

Jess + Eric – thanks for sharing so much of your time and yourselves with me–I had a great evening and am totally looking forward to September!

today i had so much fun with Maia + Matthew celebrating their wedding at West Point.

here Maia, Bailey and Carter stalk the halls of the Hotel Thayer before making their way back to the room and breaking a bed.

Maia and Matthew had their ceremony at the Old Cadet’s Chapel, which is one of the oldest buildings still in use at West Point.

among the cool ideas that Maia planned, one was using blue as the main color for her wedding–dressing her bridesmaids Carter and Bailey in it and Matthew and his family as well. but for her family members they wore green as their accent color. here’s Maia’s dad Tim dressed in green.

Maia + Matthew are off to London for the next 10 days for their honeymoon.
Maia + Matthew – thank you so much for being such a blast to work with, don’t forget to look right before crossing the street!
